This site first debuted on July 15, 2007. It was one of my first sites, and it kind of sucked, if I'm completely honest. I took it offline in 2010 because it wasn't up to the standard of my other sites, and because I didn't have any motivation to make it better. In 2012, I replayed Sonic Adventure on a whim, and I of course had to bring back my Knuckles site. I decided to rebuild it from the floor up. I rewrote every single page, and added a ton more. I'm much more satisfied with this website now. If you've never visited Solitaire, I hope you enjoy it, and if you have visited it in the past, I hope you like the changes. This site was reopened on October 25, 2012.

The Sonic canon is huge. Knuckles has appeared in a variety of video games, comics, and cartoons. In each, his story is different from the other mediums, as is his personality and intentions. With a huge lack of consistency, it's hard to understand Knuckles as a character., and because of that, I firmly believe you have to look at each as a separate Knuckles. The Knuckles this website is dedicated to is Knuckles from the video games, from which he originated. In the information section of this website, I call out the games I am analyzing him from. Should I add information from another game, I will list it there.

The name Solitaire was something that came to me randomly, but seemed to fit Knuckles really well. Figuratively, Knuckles life is played in Solitaire. He's a loner, and he chooses to be that way. Something interesting to note is that that solitaire can be defined as a precious stone. Master Emerald, anyone?

In this layout, I tried to pay homage to Knuckles from the two games he originated, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as represent him from the more current Sonic titles. I used the Power emblem from Sonic Heroes, the Knuckles half of the Sonic & Knuckles emblem, and a piece of promotional art from Sonic Adventure 2. This layout was made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and coded in Notepad. It uses textures from Hybrid Genesis.
